DATING AN EX

Relationships continuously have its ups and downs causing breakups but it's not a new thing for couples to get back together after they have taken time away from each other. But, just be sure to consider the reasons you broke up before planning to get back together. If you plan to give your ex-boyfriend/girlfriend a chance you must be willing to forgive and be open-minded about things. There are things to consider before dating an ex.
 
The first thing to do is to reflect on the factors that led to the breakup. Things like dishonesty,infidelity,commitment issues(both in the short and long run),difference in opinion and interest among others. You need to consider if these things will still be a  problem if you get back together or if you will be able to work on them.

Define the reasons you want to give your ex another chance. Reasons for this might be that you still care and love your ex,you still believe in your vision for the relationship,you have both grown emotionally among other things. Still, we need to realize getting back together just because you miss him/her or you just don't like the idea of being single might not be such a good idea.

It is also important to find out if your ex is interested in getting back together as you are. If you are the one initiating the comeback then you need to find out your ex opinion about it so things won't get awkward for you.

Next thing to do is to plan to meet up at a public and neutral place where you both will feel comfortable to establish the rules of dating again in moving forward. In cases like infidelity,you must be able to make it clear that you won't tolerate communication of any sort with the other person and make sure there are no feelings attached to whatever transpired between them.

N.B: Don't be scared or shy to express how you feel about the whole thing.
*Try visiting your favorite places together and relieve happy memories you created there while making new ones.
*Notice if things aren't working out and don't hesitate close the door.

Two people make a relationship and if the trust and communication isn't there anymore,you will keep having problems.

Dating an ex doesn't always end up well and it isn't easy so you must be able to apologize for mistakes,communicate better,try new things and learn not to use your ex's mistake against them.

TIPS: let your friends know about getting back with your ex while the decision is totally yours, you might want to hear their opinions and views about it.
