Why does anyone have to be judged?People just can't keep their mouths shut? They feel the need to constantly judge and defame others, humans like to judge people based on their appearances even without getting to know who they really are beneath the whole physical aesthetics. People like to talk about other people, they would rather hear the worst in people than find the good in people. These people constantly criticize people because they believe they are better than they are.
These are negative people and you do not need people like this around you, hell no! You need to understand it doesn't really matter what people say about you. Feel confident about yourself while you walk past these people with your head held high and with a beautiful smile.
You have to accept that you are you irrespective of others. Whether you are skinny, short, or ugly, Just continue being yourself.
The recent thing happening is skinny shaming and people don't even acknowledge what it is because they believe nothing is seriously wrong with being skinny. People need to realise skinny shaming is just as offensive as fat shaming. It has the same negative emotional impact.
It’s the reason
why so many people feel bad about how they look, why some people can't look into the mirror and why people try everything to add body weight even when there is no need for it.
Society has deemed skinny people lucky for being the size that they are.They praise us for having such a nice physique and claim that so many other people would die to have a body like ours. But if this is the case, then Why shame us for looking the way that we do? I, along with my fellow “slender people” are tired of hearing the same comments passed around about our appearances and the jokes that often come with them totally demeans our confidence. For instance;
where is your butt?
where is the rest of your chest?
Or people constantly measuring your wrist or comparing your wrist to theirs as if to remind you about how skinny you are as if you don't know already.
So many people think we have it easy but that's not true. Yeah, we can eat whatever and not gain weight. That's a pro of being skinny. Other than that, i don't think there is any other good thing about being skinny.
Most times people ask do you eat at all saying we need to eat more.
Honestly, I am tired of these questions. Yes,i eat a lot, more than some of you that ask these questions. Just because I look skinny doesn't mean I don't eat properly.
Some skinny people have eating disorders such as anorexia which poses serious threat to our health but it's not always the reason for being skinny.
If those words have ever left your mouth, then I’m sure most skinny people would have called you ignorant afterwards.
This is not only insulting and humiliating to people who actually possess such disorders, but it’s rude to us that don’t. Just because we don’t look like the overweight does not mean that there is something wrong with us.Stop assuming and jumping to conclusions, ask first!
The ever so famous...You’re so skinny, you need some meat on your bones!
Well, we do and it’s called skin. We are tired of hearing it!
We have mirrors and working eyes; we understand that we are skinnier than the average person and face that realization every day; we don’t need you to tell us.
Comparing our bodies to toothpicks, stilts, canes, chop sticks, walking sticks and skeletons does not help boost our self-esteem but ruins our self esteem nor does it change the way we look. So do us a favor and save your breath.
Just because we aspire to keep our bodies healthy and in shape, does not mean that we are attempting to lose additional weight. Some of us do it to gain muscle while others pick up exercising as a hobby or to train for a sport. We have heard every name in the dictionary… twiggy, slim, slender, skinny minnie, small fry, bony, lizard, rat ,the list goes on and on.
These words hurt just like fat, chubby, thick, and husky would to an overweight person; so how are we any different from them?
For those that starve themselves just to be skinny, please stop it am begging, being skinny is not as easy as it looks. Am not saying being skinny is bad or its not good to be skinny but its not as easy as it looks.
Not all skinny people are anorexic, stop skinny shaming!
